From a view and long-term “blocking risk” perspective, the northwest corner is generally the safer pick. The southwest corner sits in a tighter pocket where the south side of the block already has a bunch of mid/high-rise buildings (roughly 15–20 floors), so lower floors on that side can get blocked pretty quickly.

With this northwest unit, there is a taller building in the area (around 20 floors), but it’s not directly next to Times Square 9. It’s closer to Times Square 1, on the next block down. And on the north side, you’re mainly looking at low-rise shophouses, with the tallest around 8 floors and most around 6–7 floors. So overall, the views from this 2-bed are usually more open and more sustainable than the southwest 2-bed.

Because it’s the bigger unit and (typically) the better-positioned corner, the entry price is a bit higher, but you’re also getting that extra space and a direction that’s generally less stressful for blockage risk.
